I love doing portraits, though this is the first time when I did mine. I never did a sketch, I kept building , returning to the canvas, leaving it....it took me a while. I had a moment when I covered the face in grey oil, living it for a month or more on a side. Yesterday I felt like returning to my portrait and I see myself in it, I am personally happy with the result. I really struggled this time, it is so challenging to see yourself, especially when there are thing that you're not happy with, age, wrinkles.....I focused on my favorite colors, I love wearing green, and purple and blue are making me feeling good. At the end I found my expression, and I feel so good about it.

Painting is for me a way to explore and appreciate color in everything from architecture to nature. I've studied art at University of Bucharest for one year, then I just started a new career. I forgot how much I love to play with colors and I am delighted to paint in my spare time. I simply paint and enjoy, just let my imagination to fly...
